Tour Itinerary

Your day will start with a relaxing ride to the top of the National Rain Forest called the El Yunque. After seeing the natural wonders from the bus, you will arrive at the drop point where your guides will start your adventure into the interior of the rainforest. The nature walk will kick off with the introduction of your two CPR & First Aid certified guides. Next, you and your group will receive pre-walk orientation of the activity that lies ahead. After your orientation, the group will sign waiver releases and receive the following:

  • One canvas backpack
  • One clean dry towel
  • Snack package with a sealed, cold bottle of water

Backpacks and towels must be returned at the end of the tour.

At this point you will start your walk along the natural trail into the forest to leave the world behind. The cool, fresh air will take over your senses - the sights and sounds of the wind and water will relax your mind. Your guides will be giving interpretation of the natural area and educate you of its flora & fauna during the course of the walk.

As the walk progresses you will see and hear many beautiful elements of the forest, such as a crystal clear river that flows through the rocks and trees along the walking path. Once you have reached the rest point, a fabulous waterfall called La Mina falls, the group will stop and have the opportunity to relax under the majestic canopy of the rainforest as you enjoy the snacks and cold water supplied you.

Here your guides will give you the opportunity to sit in on commentary about La Mina waterfall held shore side, feel the cooling mist, enjoy a photo opportunity to gather some great shots, or just relax to sounds of rushing water passing through the rocks!

After the rainforest tour you will be transfer to a local restaurant, where you will have around an hour to enjoy a light buffet set up – one serving per person.

Lunch Menu (subject to change)

  • Rice
  • Beans
  • One entrée – choice of two meats
  • Green salad
  • One 11 oz. soft drink

After lunch you will be transferred to Seven Seas Beach - located in the northern east tip of the island and only 5 minutes away from the Bio-luminescent Bay tour location. Here you will have about two hours to enjoy beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, sit on the beach, go for a swim, take pictures or just relax before is time for the Bio-luminescent Bay Kayak Adventure.

The activity will begin with orientation and waiver signing before the lead guide gives each group complete pre-ride training which will cover all aspects of the tour and the operation of their kayaks.

The Bio-luminescent Bay Kayak Adventure is a must see and considered by many as a once in a lifetime experience. As guides lead you through a mangrove lined channel into Laguna Grande where each stroke of your paddle lights up the water a bio-luminescent blue-green and gives you a chance to spy fish of forty different species dart off from under your kayak - lighting up like shooting stars as they swim through the thick concentration of dinoflagellates. This, along with seven of eight ecosystems found in this area, four species of mangroves, iguanas, abundance of bird life and a historical light house make for an unforgettable evening!

At this point your adventurous day will come to a close as you return to your hotel for a relaxing hot shower and sweet dreams!
