Tour Details

Your day will begin with a relaxing ride to the top of the National Rainforest called El Yunque. After narrated commentary about the natural wonders seen from the bus, you will arrive at your drop point where you will start your adventure with a pre-walk orientation before heading into the interior section.

Once underway, you will start along a natural trail as you walk into the forest. Your guide will provide knowledgeable commentary about such things as:

Annual Rainfall Amounts
Hurricanes and Their Role in the Forest
Tree and Plant Life Existing in the Forest
Birds, Spiders, Insects and Small Mammals that May Be Seen in the Forest
Rivers, Waterfalls and Aquatic Life
Elevations and Temperatures
Rainforest History

Once you reach the break point at a fabulous waterfall called La Mina, it'll be time to stop and relax under the majestic canopy of the rainforest as you enjoy snacks and cold water supplied in your backpack. Your guides may give you the opportunity to wade into a crystal clear pool and wash away your tensions and troubles as La Mina Falls cascades over your body. Wading into the water may not be available if weather and rainfall have been excessive, as a protection for the ecosystem.
